Tommy Sushi — A Different Kind of Sushi Food Truck

I know what you were thinking — “wah wah wah, sushi food trucks aren’t new!” I bet you didn’t see this coming. These handsomely crafted sushi trucks are brought to the world by Japanese ‘art unit’ Paramodel. These trucks, officially titled “Tommy Sushi,” are put together by artists Yasuhiko Hayashi and Yusuke Nakano and combine a toy truck called “tomica” and a model of sushi that fits perfectly in the truck beds.

“Tomica” is a famous toy car series produced by toy company “Tony” in Japan. The products seem like perfect display pieces for restaurant’s to show off their menus via window displays. At $270 a pop before shipping/handling costs, it’s definitely not for the faint of heart or the lackadaisical sushi snob.
