How To Make A Bacon And Tater Tot-Filled Breakfast Egg Ball

Legendary YouTube chef, Josh Elkin, posted a photo of a hard boiled egg with a bacon-wrapped tater tot INSIDE the egg. Upon seeing the photo, our first question was, “How?”

Our second question was, “HOW?”

Thankfully, the former Epic Meal Time chef provided a video recipe explaining the method behind his madness, and relieving the world of a confusion-induced headache.

Elkin’s first step was wrapping the frozen tots in bacon, and baking them for 15 minutes, which makes sense.

Now, the magical part. Elkin essentially filled plastic wrap with a cracked egg, and the just-baked, bacon-wrapped tater tot, wrapped it up and put it all to boil for 7 minutes.

Bacon Tater Tot Breakfast Boiled Egg. What if I said that you can make an entire breakfast inside a hard boiled egg? What if I told you how to do it? 🍳🐖 Recipe Below 💥💥💥💥💥 Step 1 Wrap tater tots in bacon strips, put a toothpick through the tot and the bacon making it secure. Step 2 Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 385 degrees F. Step 3 Using a small ramekin or any other bowl like apparatus, put plastic wrap inside of it creating a plastic cup. Step 4 Crack and egg inside the hole. Remove the toothpick from the bacon tater tot and add it to the bowl pressing it into the yolk until the yolk breaks around the tater tot. Step 5 Bring all the sides of the plastic wrap together and pinch it closed creating a balloon like shape. Tie it closed with rope. Step 6 Bring a pot of water to a boil and drop the sealed breakfast balloons inside the water for 7 minutes. Step 7 Take them out and put them in a cold water bat for 1 minute. Step 8 Unwrap the plastic and enjoy.

He took the mixture out of the bag and it was the breakfast baby, full of egg, bacon, and essentially hash browns.

This dude’s obviously nuts, but it all worked.

Now you know how to make little protein-packed breakfast balls.
