Taco Bell’s New Rolled Quesadilla Packs Double The Chicken
Taco Bell isn’t easing into its chicken era. It’s committing to it.
The chain is rolling out a new Cantina Chicken Rolled Quesadilla nationwide, and the headline here is simple. More chicken. Like, double the amount compared to its previous Cantina Chicken Quesadilla.
Priced at $6.69, the new item feels like Taco Bell reading the room. Beef prices are up, wallets are tight, and protein has quietly become part of the value conversation. So instead of shrinking portions or playing it safe, Taco Bell went the other direction and loaded this one up.
If the format feels familiar, that’s because it is. The brand tested a rolled quesadilla last fall with a Steak & Poblano version, and it landed well enough with customers to earn a full rollout. This time, chicken takes center stage.
And it’s not just one menu item. Taco Bell is also introducing a $2.49 Crispy Chicken Slider, a move that swaps out the beef-forward version it tested previously. The shift isn’t subtle. Chicken is cheaper, demand is higher, and right now, it’s the protein everyone is chasing.
Zoom out a bit, and this all lines up with what Taco Bell has been building toward. At its recent Live Más LIVE event, the brand teased a pipeline packed with new items, many of them leaning into chicken, alongside desserts and the now-permanent return of Nacho Fries.
Put it all together and the strategy is clear. Taco Bell isn’t just adding chicken. It’s building around it.
And in a moment where getting more protein for under seven bucks actually feels like a win, doubling the chicken might be the simplest flex on the menu.
