This Subway Employee Was Allegedly Caught Spiking A Cop’s Lemonade With THC

An Utah police officer arrived at work one day feeling strange. On his way to the station, he had trouble driving and could not get complete sentences out once he got there. His concerned coworkers took him to the hospital to see what was wrong.

According to the Associated Press, the officer was allegedly drugged by an 18-year-old employee of the Subway sandwich shop he visited before beginning his shift. Investigations revealed that the lemonade the officer had ordered at the sandwich chain’s drive-thru had been spiked with THC and methamphetamine.

The officer, who remains unnamed, was released from the hospital and is said to make a speedy recovery.

Tanis Ukena, the suspect, was the only employee handling the food at the time of the incident.

Ukena’s bail was set at $10,000, which he posted and it is unknown if he is still employed by Subway. Authorities are investigating if the officer was targeted because of his profession.
