Starbucks Refreshers: Coffee Giant Reveals Energy Drink Line

Starbucks has just announced that they will be entering the energy drink market with their latest product reveal: Starbucks Refreshers. The new line of energy drinks, which are currently available in select retail and grocery stores, span three initial flavors: raspberry pomegranate, orange melon, and strawberry lemonade.

Claiming that their Starbucks Refreshers beverages are a ‘breakthrough innovation,’ the coffee chain has utilized “real fruit juice” and a boost of natural energy from ‘green coffee extract.’ The foray into the $8 billion energy drink channel is an important one for the brand, and on the surface, it looks like they’re doing their best to differentiate out of the gate.

The use of green coffee extract from 100% arabica beans boasts a “mild and fresh flavor while still retaining naturally occurring caffeine.”

Starbucks Refreshers note 60 calories per 12 fl. oz. can and by the end of April, you will be able to find them at more than 160,000 places you buy groceries in the U.S.
