Simu Liu Becomes Chief Content Officer For Modern Chinese Food Brand, MìLà

The AAPI-owned modern Chinese brand, MìLà, formerly Xiao Chi Jie, has earned a sterling reputation for delivering restaurant-quality dishes straight to customers’ homes via their delicious noodle and outstanding soup dumplings. Riding the wave of momentum they’ve created from such high quality, easy-to-cook food, MìLà has just announced an exciting partnership with actor Simu Liu, appointing him as Chief Content Officer.

“Many Asian kids, like myself, grew up being made fun of for the taste, look or smell of food that wasn’t familiar to other kids. MìLà is demystifying Chinese cuisine and creating an inclusive conversation around third culture in a way that I’m thrilled to be a part of,” said Liu, who further backed MìLà’s quality by stating, “MìLà’s soup dumplings got my parents’ tough stamp of approval.”

As Chief Content Officer, Simu Liu will provide his insights on creative strategy and driving major marketing initiatives for the brand. Beyond that, he will also act as the company’s brand ambassador. He looks to focus on storytelling that brings “third culture” visibility to the masses, while also aiming to unite people through inclusive food experiences.

“I can’t wait to tell my parents that I have a real job now,” quipped Liu.
