Reese’s And Oreo Officially Mash Up With Two New Hybrid Products

Snack giants Hershey and Mondelez are officially turning fan mash-ups into real products with two new hybrid treats launching this fall: the Reese’s Oreo Cup and the Oreo Reese’s Cookie, per the Wall Street Journal.
These are literally the Reese’s peanut butter cup and Oreo cookie fused into one dream snack—exactly what fans have been begging for across Reddit and social media for years.
A version of the Oreo Reese’s Cookie was teased in 2014, but this time, Reese’s isn’t being shy. Hershey says the new duo have been over two years in the making, signaling a major shift from their old “don’t mess with a classic” messaging.
The launches come at a strategic moment: rising grocery prices, fresh scrutiny over sugar and artificial ingredients, and growing pressure for companies to innovate while leaning into indulgence. Hershey’s Chief Growth Officer Stacy Taffet notes the products are targeted at Gen Z, who crave bold flavors, varied textures, and mash-up collaborations more than anyone else.
