It’s Always Raining At This One-Of-A-Kind Cafe

Rain Report Cafe is a Seoul, Korea-based coffee shop that has more on its forecast than just food. A fully-immersive experience, you’re greeted by the sound of calming raindrops as soon as you enter. In fact, water drips, ripples, and flows through every facet of the cafe.

Launched only this year, Rain Report Cafe serves an array of premium coffee, unique caffeinated cocktails and ice cream, as well as fresh pastries. The real attraction is the ambience of course. Minimalist in design, light dances on the walls and ceilings as it reflects off the water. Although monochromatic, the watery atmosphere provides a sense of calm.

According to esyfilms, the centerpiece is an installation of screens that display perpetual rain in HD. In another part of the restaurant, screens display stormy clouds that add to the experience. Once you arrive at the barista counter, you’ll be given a sneak peak into the coffee brewing process.

esyfilms recommends the Drip Coffee, Sesame Cloud drink, or Almond Pistachio dessert. You can witness the restaurant’s rain effects every 15 minutes, so be sure to keep your camera ready. Along with being selfie-worthy, the overall experience leaves you in a state of relaxation. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that hints at the future of dining.
