MorningStar Launches Veggie Meatballs, Re-introduces Veggie Dogs

Morning Star Veggie Meatball Meal Starters Dogs

MorningStar Farms, a Kellogg-owned and operated brand, has launched Meal Starters Veggie Meatballs and is re-introducing Veggie Dogs which were taken off shelves in 2009. As a full-fledged meat eater and lover, its pretty amazing how well MorningStar feux-meat can stand up next to the real thing.

MorningStar is also joining the Meatless Monday movement which advocates for better health for people and the planet by reducing meat consumption by 15%. Limiting Cancer, Reducing Heart Disease, Fighting Diabetes and Curbing Obesity are some of the claimed benefits from the Meatless Monday website.  Although if I joined in on the Meatless Movement, I feel I would just eat double the amount of meat on Taco Tuesday, the very next day.

Both the Veggie Dogs and Meal Starters Veggie Meatballs are currently available throughout Chicago and will be available across the entire county within a couple weeks.
