Designer VANDYTHEPINK Reveals Collaboration With McDonald’s

Cartoony, youthful, and simply dope are three ways to describe designer VANDYTHEPINK’s work. From clothing to furniture, he brings his unique brand of playfulness to products of all shapes and sizes. In fact, he’s just announced a collaboration with McDonald’s, and it may be his biggest one yet.

If you’re a fan of VANDYTHEPINK’s work, you know it’s often food-inspired. He creates things like French fry chairs, stuffed-hamburger pillows, and ice cream cones with faces — clearly, this is a match made in branding heaven. The Instagram post gives us a closer look at the VANDYTHEPINK x McDonald’s collaboration. Along with a custom Happy Meal box, the collab features chicken nugget plushies, socks, and a tote bag.

The team-up is timely and comes on the heels of the recently successful collaboration between McDonald’s and Cactus Plant Flea Market, which resulted in Happy Meal collectibles being sold on eBay for a staggering $300k. Sadly for us here in the states, VANDYTHEPINK’s design takeover of McDonald’s will only be available in Hong Kong through August.
