“This place has the world’s biggest mozzarella sticks.”

That’s the claim from the TikTok clip above by @thekatkurtis. And after witnessing the cheese pull from it that would make Mister Fantastic jealous, it would be fair to consider such a bold claim.

Further digging revealed that the baton-like mozzarella sticks are actually called Lightning Rods from a pizzeria named Alphonso’s The Original, which interestingly enough, is located inside a Jamaican restaurant by the name of Kings & Queens Jamaican Kitchen in West Allis, Wisconsin.

According to Milwaukee Record, the gargantuan cheese sticks measure at almost one whole foot and weight as much as two pounds. Wow.

Since the TikTok clip from Kat Kurtis went viral, the demand for the Lightning Rods have skyrocketed, prompting Alphonso’s to announce on their Facebook page regularly that they’ve sold out for the day. So if you’re really up for taking down the largest mozzarella stick you’ll ever see, act fast to snag some of those cheesy double grippers.
