HPNOTIQ Turns Up The Metaverse With New NFTs and Augmented Reality

HPNOTIQ’s return to the pop culture zeitgeist after two decades is extraordinary, some might even say out of this world.

So, the fact that the liqueur (a blend of fruit juices, vodka & a touch of cognac) best known for being hip-hop’s drink of choice in the early 2000s is getting into the world of Web3 is no surprise to some.

Launched this summer, HPNOTIQ is inviting fans to enter the #HPNOVERSE, an exclusive augmented reality destination hosted by rapper Guapdad 4000, that takes you into the world of HPNOTIQ with an AR camera app, NFTs and an opportunity to win IRL concert tickets.

The NFTs include:

  • HPNOVERSE SKYLINE (Skyscraper): This cityscape is the virtual world of the HPNOVERSE, providing the backdrop for the most of the AR experiences in the game.
  • A BOTTLE OF HPNO SPELLED WITH A “Y” (Shrine Altar – see above): While its name was never spelled with a “Y,” people think it was and that it was changed. So, like a rare baseball card, this is the one place the brand will ever throw that “Y” in there.
  • A HPNO + COGNAC PLAQUE: HPNOTIQ’s best-known cocktail is named after a certain green Avenger because of the color it turns when you add cognac. This NFT is a certificate and helps you lay claim to its origin… if you can find it.
  • A RENAISSANCE HPNO STATUE (Greek Statue): Pay homage to the brand’s past by checking out the Museum of HPNOTIQ Art (MOHA).

Complimenting these NFTs, are others that include custom cocktails, a high-fashion Du Rag and more.

In addition to the HPNOVERSE, fans can also join a scavenger hunt to unlock experiences at real-life locations in Atlanta and New York City using QR codes. An out of home HPNOTIQ Scavenger Hunt will take place in both cities, allowing consumers to enter to win exclusive NFTs, as well as tickets to see Jack Harlow, Mary J. Blige or two-day tickets to a music festival.
