FREEB!RDS Continues California Expansion with LA and OC Locations

With the first location in Santa Barbara, CA dating back to 1987, FREEB!RDS World Burrito has been making a name for itself ever since. In the years following its inception, their travels took the chain to a 39-unit expansion tear throughout Texas, and 2011 marks the privately-held chain’s epic entrance into the California market (outside of Santa Barbara). Web personality Bobby Hundreds was at the opening of the LA location, in the USC area, where a huge event was in order to welcome the highly sought after burrito. Next stop for the chain in 2011? Orange County, specifically, Tustin & Katella in Orange, CA.

For the Orange, CA location, no exact date has been given, but sources close to FREEB!RDS have mentioned a possible February 2011 launch. For those in Southern California, your current options include the original Santa Barbara location, and the newly opened spot in LA:
