Ferrero Buys WK Kellogg Co In Multi-Billion Breakfast Move

Ferrero just went from candy king to breakfast boss. The European giant behind Nutella, Kinder, and Ferrero Rocher is officially acquiring WK Kellogg Co—the cereal company behind Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Special K, and more—for a cool $3.1 billion.

This isn’t Ferrero’s first move stateside. Over the last few years, they’ve quietly built a loaded U.S. portfolio with brands like Keebler, Famous Amos, Butterfinger, and even Trolli. Now, they’re adding breakfast classics to the mix, expanding their reach from snacks to cereal bowls.

The deal gives Ferrero control of WK Kellogg’s cereal business across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. Battle Creek, Michigan will remain the cereal HQ.

What’s next? Probably more crossover potential than we’re ready for. Nutella Pop-Tarts? A Kinder cereal line? Whatever it is, know that we’re here for it.
