Dunkin’ Donuts Releases New Red Velvet Latte for Holiday Season

There’s also a new Salted Caramel hot chocolate, but let’s stick to the important stuff for now.

The first time I tried a red velvet hot chocolate, it was from a (sadly, now dearly departed) crêperie at an outdoor shopping mall in Southern California. Like most things red velvet, the RVHC was really nothing more than a richer, butterier take on your regular chocolate-flavored offering, if mildly improved by some nifty signage and a costume change. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t sometimes dream about that chocolate at night — bundled up, starting season one of Breaking Bad (sue me), falling asleep to the 30th page of my tumblr dashboard — hot, sticky, red-cocoa coated dreams.

Anywho, since it’s a latte instead of a hot chocolate, Dunkin’ Donuts newest seasonal oeuvre is set to be even more addictive. Daily Meal reports that starting Monday November 4, DD will roll out the Red Velvet Latte and Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. Keep a look out for the Red Velvet and Holiday Star donuts, peppermint mocha and white chocolate, and white hot chocolate, dark hot chocolate, and mint hot chocolate drinks returning for the season.

Cold weather, fat-covering clothes-bundling, FTW.
