Golden Churros Are Disneyland’s Newest Treasure

Legend has it, on the 50th anniversary of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland, a treasure will appear for all to enjoy. Last Saturday, that treasure took the form of Golden Churros from the theme park.

For specifics, Disneyland took their traditional churros and dipped them in a bright yellow, lemon-flavored sugar that creates the illusion of glistening gold.

The limited-time item coincided with the 50th anniversary celebration of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction located in New Orleans Square at the Anaheim, CA theme park. Guests of Disneyland can grab the churro at the cart found in New Orleans Square of the park, where it will be available for a limited time while supplies last.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales also hits theaters this year on May 26.
