Customer Sets Fire to a Denny’s Christmas Tree Over Long Wait

WOAI reports that a man set fire to a Denny’s Christmas tree in San Antonio after becoming upset that his check was taking too long to get to him. Unfortunately, the man fled the 1-35 location of Denny’s before anyone could catch him. Police are checking surveillance footage to help identify the suspect.

The man allegedly caused $150, 000 in damage, and at this point, what we’re guessing was a bill for some waffles and coffee may be the least of his worries. Hey, no one likes waiting for their check when all they want to do is go home and pass out in a food coma. Still, that’s no reason to get your Grinch on.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.
