Colonel Sanders Is The New Voice Of Your Phone’s Navigation

KFC brought back Colonel Sanders from the dead this May and has been hyping him up like crazy ever since. Now, if you use the Waze navigation app, you have the chance to listen to the chicken-loving old man tell you where to go.

Darrell Hammond, formerly of Saturday Night Live, has been the man portraying the new Sanders and will now be providing the voice work for the Waze app as well. So, techinically, Darrell Hammond in a southern accent is the new voice of their navigation.

Just playing around with the app in the office, the voice and phrases are pretty hilarious. He says stuff like, “Pothole on the road ahead. I’d fill it with gravy. (creepy laugh)

Waze has teamed with celebrity voices in the past as Kevin Hart did a navigation voice over, and most recently, former NBA player Vlade Divac’s voice was made available with his thick accent.

The Colonel’s voice will only be around until August 16, so take advantage now.
