Cholula Turns Up The Heat With New ‘Extra Hot’ Sauce
Cholula has a fiery solution for the upcoming tailgate tundra: Extra Hot Sauce.
Hot on the heels of National Hot Sauce Day, Cholula Extra Hot takes the iconic recipe you love and turns it up a notch. It’s made with arbol and piquin peppers and blended with piquant spices. But how much hotter is Cholula’s new heatseeker? Compared to the OG, the aroma has a noticeable peppery punch that excites the nostrils. It’s far from scalding, though.
“Our fans took to social media to tell us they wanted a hotter variety of Cholula, and we heard them loud and clear,” said Valda Coryat, North America Vice President of Marketing for McCormick & Company, in a press release.
Cholula Extra Hot is the latest addition to the sauce brand, which includes seven other sauces of varying heat levels. It’s now available online and at retailers nationwide for $5.99.
