Chipotle Will Not Charge Extra For Guac On National Avocado Day

Mark your calendars for National Avocado Day on July 31, as Chipotle won’t be charging you extra for that big dollop of guacamole.

It’s no secret that Chipotle charges extra for their delicious guacamole — even if it has been made by Autocado the Robot — so you can imagine the world’s collective joy over no-charge guacamole on that day in honor of National Avocado Day.

“National Avocado Day, one of our most popular ‘Chipotdays,’ has long given our fans something extra to celebrate on July 31,” Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s chief brand officer, said in a press statement. “We’re excited to continue the tradition this year by offering free concerts and fresh, hand-mashed guac to our fans.”

The giveaways don’t stop there: Chipotle is also offering their customers a chance to win a pair of tickets to a concert or festival of their choosing. From 10am to 10pm EST, Chipotle will be releasing text-to-win codes on their Threads account (@chipotle) every hour at the top of the hour. The 1,000th texter to send their code to 888222 will win a pair of tickets to any concert or festival they want.

There is one small caveat. In order to receive your free-of-charge guacamole, you must be a Chipotle Rewards member and use the digital-only promo code AVO2023 during checkout on the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com.

Becoming a Rewards member is free to all who sign up and seems to be a small price to pay for a delicious reward.
