BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery Reveals a Red Velvet Pizookie

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery, founded in 1978, is given credit for creating and trademarking the often imitated “Pizookie”, a dessert dish made up of a fresh baked cookie (normally white chocolate, macadamia nut, or chocolate chip), with a helping of vanilla ice cream all of which is served in a pizza style pan.

In the years to follow since the Pizookie‘s inception and subsequent notoriety among BJ’s restaurant patrons, the dish has spawned several variations within the restaurant that include Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin Walnut, Cookies ‘N Cream or Triple Chocolate made with Ghirardelli®.

Today we can acknowledge the addition of a new flavor to this impressive roster: the Red Velvet Pizookie. The new addition starts off with a freshly baked red velvet cookie topped with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream, all served in its own deep dish pan.
