BBQ Joint Promises Star Pitcher Free BBQ For Life If He Re-Signs With Texas Rangers

Jordan Montgomery, the star left-handed pitcher who was once with the Texas Rangers and is now a sought-after free agent, has just been presented with a tempting offer from Hurtado Barbecue, the official barbecue restaurant of the team.

Owner of Hurtado Barbecue, Brandon Hurtado, posted on social media expressing his appreciation for Montgomery and his contributions to the Texas Rangers. Though the current asking price for the starting pitcher is high, Hurtado promised Montgomery free barbecue for life if he re-signs with the team.

“Jordan, you come back and pitch for the Rangers this season, you’ll never pay for Hurtado Barbecue again,” declared Hurtado in the Instagram clip above.

Despite the allure of multi-million dollar offers from other MLB teams, the prospect of enjoying top-tier Texas barbecue without any cost should not be underestimated. So while Hurtado’s offer may not match the financial figures of other deals, the appeal of never having to pay for delicious Texas-style smoked meats is certainly noteworthy for Montgomery to consider.
