At This Gas Station, Two Teen Brothers Have Started A Viral Hot Dog Business
Most people roll up to a gas station thinking about gas prices first, and not glizzes. But if you’re anywhere near Long Beach, you might want to reconsider.
Right outside the American Oil gas station on Atlantic Avenue, 15-year-old twin brothers Chaze and Chazz have been drawing crowds with their viral pop-up: Glizzy Street. No gimmicks, no trends, just straight up perfectly grilled, bacon-wrapped hot dogs that are juicy, surprisingly hefty, and cost a smooth five bucks.
They’re not just serving up these dogs, they’re moving them.
“We usually sell up to 200 [daily],” the twins shared.
“When people come from different states to try a glizzy, it means so much to us!”
That’s it. That’s the post. Except–it’s not.
Because behind these plump $5 dogs is a story worth more than any viral reel can capture. Glizzy Street isn’t just a hustle. It’s a blueprint.
Chase and Chazz didn’t wait for the right time and right situation to fall together. They just got to work. Every day, they hand-wrap each dog with bacon, fire up the grill, and serve the community with the kind of precision and pride that makes you look twice. It’s entrepreneurship at its most grassroots: local, honest, and powered by young Black excellence.
In times where representation still feels like a buzzword more than a reality, there’s something powerful about seeing two teendage Black boys build a business from scratch and succeed. This isn’t just about hot dogs. It’s about visibility. Ownership. Showing the next kid in the neighborhood that you don’t need a storefront or a fancy investor to start something. You just need a vision, work ethic, support, and a grill.
So yes, the dogs do hit. But the bigger win? Watching these young men stand in their power, feed their community, and redefine what success can look like at 15.
Keep your eyes on Glizzy Street—something tells me this is just the beginning.
