A24’s First-Ever Restaurant Looks Like A Scene From One Of Its Films
A24, the independent studio behind buzzy movies like Uncut Gems, The Brutalist, and Moonlight, is stepping into the world of food with its first-ever restaurant.
Named “Wild Cherry” and located inside Cherry Lane Theatre—the 100-year-old West Village venue that A24 acquired in 2023 and reopened last month—the company plans to host one-night-only screenings, celebrity Q&As, and, of course, independent films.
Inside of Wild Cherry, customers will step into an immersive, vintage-style experience—from warm lighting and tuft leather seating to polished wooden accents. It’s a cinephile’s playground, perfect for celebrating the art of film.
To ensure the food matches A24’s award-winning reputation, the company enlisted Chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr—the culinary masterminds behind Frenchette, a popular NYC bistro known for its modern French cuisine. The menu includes several oyster and seafood cocktail options, six hors d’oeuvres and appetizers such as steak tartare, Caesar salad, and frog legs Kiev, along with mains like a cheeseburger, monkfish kebab, and alfredo. There’s also a steak dinner for two, a dessert selection, and a full menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Wild Cherry is now open for reservations.
