One Of Chipotle’s Most Flavorful Proteins Is Making A Comeback
Chipotle is bringing back its Smoked Brisket on November 5, giving fans another crack at one of the chain’s more ambitious protein offerings. And considering the amount of work that goes into preparing it, this isn’t your average scoop of meat tossed into a burrito bowl.
The brisket starts with a generous seasoning of smoked serrano and chipotle peppers before getting the mesquite wood treatment. Once it reaches Chipotle restaurants, employees sear it, season it again, toss it in a smoky chili pepper sauce, and chop it into bite-sized pieces in small batches throughout the day. That’s a respectable amount of culinary attention for something destined to get cozy beneath a mountain of guac.
To sweeten the reunion, Chipotle is waiving delivery fees on Smoked Brisket orders placed through its app or website from November 5 through November 18. Other fees may still apply, but at least your burrito gets a ride to your doorstep without the usual delivery charge.
Smoked Brisket returns to participating Chipotle locations across the U.S. and Canada for a limited time, with no official end date announced. So if you’ve been waiting for its comeback, you might want to get that brisket bowl in rotation before it disappears again.
