Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion Formula One racer for Ferrari, is just as driven outside of the vehicle as he is on the racetrack. The speedster has just announced his latest business venture, Almave Humo, the first non-alcoholic agave spirit in partnership with Master Distiller Iván Saldaña of Casa Lumbre.

Almave Humo is a mezcal alternative made from Espadin agave sourced from the base of Mexico’s Popocatépetl volcano. Agave piñas are spit-roasted in a traditional oven with volcanic stones and blended with water infused with flavors from the volcanic soil, resulting in mezcal that delivers the smoky, fruity taste that drinkers expect, without the buzz. Almaze contains just 0.5 % ABV.

“We’ve found that many agave spirit drinkers begin with tequila, then learn about mezcal as they gain a curiosity and appreciation that inspires them to venture further into the world of agave spirits,” said Iván Saldaña. “Almave Humo offers distinct, smoky notes for those seeking complex cocktails while embracing a lifestyle beyond proof.”

Almave Humo is now available in Blanco, Āmbar and Humo varieties online and at select retailers.
