The ‘AvoWich’ Is Here To Replace Your Sandwich Bread With Straight-Up Avocado

After being April fooled by the broccoli cheddar Pizookie, we weren’t about to fall for a new sandwich with avocado buns. Lo and behold, Avocados From Mexico (basically, the PR team for avocados) has partnered with Which Wich on the AvoWich, a refreshing remix that replaces bread with avocado slices.

The innovative handheld is pre-made with classic turkey club toppings — turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, mayo, and honey mustard sprinkled with AvoWich seasoning. Of course, we had to get our paws on it and share the experience. One thing’s for sure: the avos were ripe with a creamy yet sturdy consistency that maintains after each bite. Each slice is surprisingly thick, and you finish more full than expected.

“Our partnership with Wich Wich is the perfect example of how innovation drives everything we do,” shared Alvaro Luque, CEO of Avocados From Mexico. “We aim to constantly re-imagine all the ways to enjoy our always good avocados — and by experimenting with new applications with the foodservice space, we’re able to showcase the versatility of avocados in an entirely new light.”

The AvoWich actually exists and will be available at Which Wich locations now.
