Watch a Michelin-Trained Chef Turn Jollibee Into a Gourmet Meal

For a Michelin-trained chef the likes of Loic Sany, it’s certain that whatever meal he prepares for you will wind up as a top notch experience. But can Chef Sany’s skills help him transform fast food into a gourmet meal? I’m betting that the former Chopped finalist will see it as par for the course.

So when Chef Sany was presented with the challenge to turn Jollibee into a gourmet meal by Danny Kim of @DannyGrubs, the talented chef turned into if “say less” worked in a kitchen. The finished masterpiece wound up being two different gourmet dishes: ravioli made from scratch and a frozen dessert.

Chef Sany started on the ravioli, which he made using Jollibee fried chicken (the way he disrespected the crispy chicken skin by tossing it aside had me sick, though) as the base for the filling. And of course, the pasta was made from scratch. The sauce he then cooked up for it incorporated the pasta sauce from the Jolly Spaghetti.

As for the dessert, Chef Sany froze the pineapple juice, turned it into a granita and topped it with a plussed up form of the Peach Mango Pie filling.

Challenge bodied, Chef Sany. Now let me get a plate, though — just don’t leave out the chicken skin.
