LA Tavern Will Start Serving Pedialyte-based Cocktails On New Year’s Day

Sure we’d all like to live by the adage of ‘new year, new me’ once the turn of another twelve months comes around, but let’s be honest, all that ain’t happening if you’re feeling anything but new come the morning of January 1st thanks to the one too many shots that you took on New Year’s Eve. It’d be fun they said. It’s the only way to ring in the new year they said. I mean, sometimes we just need better influences in our lives and sometimes proper re-hydration will help us forgive them.

And since those egging you on are probably your closest friends, let’s opt for the latter solution and hit up The Independence in Santa Monica for some hangover relief. That’s because come New Year’s Day and going forward, they will be serving The Pediaflyte, which is a flight of four Pedialyte-based mocktails that range in flavor from raspberry fizz and orange crush to ginger peach and strawberry mint.

The brunch crowd is flourishing at The Independence, so they tasked their mixologists to create a hydrating blend of Pedialyte, fruit juice, and soda water. If patrons opt to keep the festivities and celebration going, alcohol can be added for an additional charge (is YOLO still cool?).
