In-N-Out President Opens Up About Drug Abuse And Personal Struggles

In-N-Out’s owner Lynsi Snyder doesn’t do a lot of interviews, but she recently spoke to “I Am Second,” a Christian-based movement that has had several celebrities speak about their faith. Snyder brought up personal stories about her father’s death, multiple divorces, as well as dealing with drug and alcohol abuse.

This is the first time we’ve heard from Snyder since 2015, when she spoke to CBS News about the secret to In-N-Out’s success, and she did not hold back, speaking candidly about her father’s drug addiction and eventual death, which she felt led to her own struggles with addiction.

“I started smoking pot, drinking, which were things I really wanted to stay away from after watching my dad,” Snyder said. “I realized that I’m going to follow in the footsteps of my father, and I’m going to meet an early death if I do not get right with God.”

Lynsi said her father was the greatest source of love and attention, and she started looking for those things elsewhere.

Snyder even talked about three failed marriages, describing the third as, “The worst time of my life,” after she said her husband only married her for the money that the In-N-Out heiress possessed.

Through her faith, Snyder said she overcame the drugs, alcohol, divorces, and has married once again.

Through all the turmoil she had suffered in her personal life, In-N-Out hasn’t skipped a beat, being worth upward of $1 billion, and consistently earning top customer satisfaction marks. Clearly, it looks as if the chain is in good hands.
