This Soldier Prepped A YEAR’S-WORTH Of Food For His Wife Before He Left

If you’re like me and complain about weekly meal preps, you’re going to feel sheepish when you find out all the work this soldier put into prepping food for his wife.

According to Metro UK, a 27-year-old soldier in the Chinese army created 12 months worth of food for his wife before he was left to be stationed in Tibet.

Yin Yunfeng only gets to see his wife once a year, so he took that time to make more than 1,000 dumplings, 150 liters of noodle soup and dozens of other individually packaged meals that were not only frozen in their household, but in the freezers of friends and family nearby.

Yungfeng was really being thoughtful about this as he knew his wife Zhao Mai, who is a teacher in China, hardly ever had time to make dinner for herself.

He left her a note that said:

“‘You’re so focused on your work and have so much to read when you get home that I want to make life easier for you.”

He also took the time to hide little treats around the house which he will reveal to her every-so-often through phone calls and letters in order to cheer her up if she’s ever feeling lonely.

He already revealed the first treat as he sent her a letter and said:  “Here is your first surprise. You can find a bag of raisins at the back of the sofa in the living room.”

Zao Mai told Metro:

‘I have to admit his food packages help keep me going and it’s great to know that he loves me. In some way every time I have my meal I know he is with me.’

Stuff like this deserves those ‘Relationship goals’ memes.
