This Baseball Park Has Self-Serve Beer Vending Machines and Lobster Corn Dogs

Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins, will be ushering in self-serve beer vending machines debuting at the Major League Baseball All-Star festivities next week.

The booze stations, dubbed DraftServ, were birthed from a collab between concessionaire Delaware North and Anheuser-Busch. Patrons will we able to go up to cash registers, show their ID and preload a card for $10 or $20, while a limited-time $50 card will be available during the All-Star game.

Attendees can then scan the card at any of the machines, choose between four beers — Bud and Bud Light for 38 cents per oz, Shock Top Lemon Shandy and Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale for 40 cents per oz — and control how much they want poured at a time.  Customers will be able to use their cards to pour up to 48 oz every 15 minutes.

“It’s a way to engage with the customer and allows the fan to have greater control of what they’re drinking,” touted Jerry Jacobs Jr., principal of Delaware North. “If they want half of a cup, that’s all they will pay for.”

???????????????

For those fretting about underage kids attempting to swoop some brew under the radar, Jacobs assured that an employee will be at each stand to check IDs.

Other notable stadium items include lobster-stuffed corn dogs and a Hangover Burger stacked with two patties topped with bacon, American cheese, Sriracha and a fried egg. Ungh, take me there.
