“Through Thick and Thin” Pizza Wedding Cake

We’re looking at a three-tier cake representing the efforts of three different food entities in the Chicago area. SweetPSweets was dealt the task of creating a wedding cake for a wedding put on by Home Run Inn Pizza and Lou Malnati’s (representing pizza operators known separately for thin and thick crust pizzas, respectively), for a wedding back in June 2010 of Staci and Adam in front of Wrigley Stadium.

Cool enough? Almost! The three-tiered cake was created to look like the respective brands’ very own Chicago pizzas. I’ll say a good job was done here, to say the least! I’m having a hard time believing those tiers are not savory, but instead just sweet confections meticulously shaped to look savory. Oh well, eat on!
