Zimbabwe Food Crisis

Our website is built upon one of the most important aspects that our natural Earth has given us, Food. Based out of Orange County California, it would be anything but dishonest for us to say we ever had to go a day without food on our table due to lack of money, resources or health. While we spend our day bringing you what’s “hype” in food news, showing you how we fat asses gorge ourselves…it would be an even more horrendous feat of us to ignore a story like this when it comes across our desk.

Just to put things into perspective, The World Food Programme has been putting food into the mouth of Zimbabweans as best they could since 2002, and are expected to help more than half of their 8-9 million population come April 2009 (crazy). Led by a non-functioning government and horrendous harvests as of late, reports to nearby European officials are pouring in regarding the deaths of families as a result of lack of food. We will be making our earnest effort as news comes in to keep you guys up to date, and in the next few days we will be doing our best to research ways of aid for these people. So if you guys get a minute and have any positive programs that help out those less fortunate, please don’t hesitate to send info. our way (hit us up on our contact page).

I’m sure our next post will be about some new food product, or one of our “homies” throwing down 4 extra large pizzas in 20 minutes, that’s just the selfish people we are. But every one hundred posts or so, it’s time for us to come down to Earth, forget about our “oh so horrible economic crisis” and thank whoever/whatever you believe in that our family ate today. Read more about the situation here.
