McDonald’s Makes Fast Food Faster, Experiments with Mobile Ordering App

McDonalds1

If waiting at the drive-thru or in line at any of the three local McDonald’s in your neighborhood just isn’t getting you your fast food fast enough, have no fear.  McDonald’s is testing a new mobile payment app, which will allow you to order ahead and pick up your food at drive-thru windows or inside the restaurant.

Chipotle already has a mobile ordering app, and Burger King even offers delivery, if you’re willing to spend a minimum of $10. McDonald’s will feature special offers, coupons, and a loyalty rewards program.  If we truly are moving towards a “cashless society,” as Bob Goldin, the executive vice president at Technomic Inc., says, then this might be the way to go.

Would you be willing to download or use the app? Let us know in the comments.
