McDonald's Knows You're Watching Porn On Their WiFi

Regardless of why people go to McDonald's, there's one specific reason the fast-food chain is making adjustments to its dining experience. Apparently, too many people are using the wifi to access pornographic websites — rather than innocently post a photo of their Big Mac on social media.

As billions continue to be served, the McDonald's Corporation started noticing  customers — and other folks looking for wireless internet — were keen to browsing #NSFW websites while using access points at McDonald's locations.

Now, McDonald's has partnered with the Enough Is Enough Organization to ensure it's locations are smut free. Enough Is Enough is an organization focused on Internet safety

In an interview with the New York Post, Donna Rice Hughes, Enough is Enough's chief executive, said that McDonald's and Starbuck's are now the two pioneering companies to incorporate family friendly filters on their public wifi networks.

"We discovered that corporate America is not aware of how some people use their free Wi-Fi,” she said. "I’ve asked Starbucks employees whether they’ve had problems with customers in stores watching porn, and they’ve said, yes, that they sometimes have to tap customers on the shoulder [to close a website.]”

So, just remember, the next time you're trying to enjoy a Filet-O-Fish, but can't get through to your favorite spank bank site, just go ahead and turn off that wifi.
