This Dessert Shop Transforms Cotton Candy Into Creative Characters

Few sweets are as iconic as cotton candy. It’s made of only sugar, air, and food coloring/food flavoring, yet is easily one of the best sweet tooth fixes around. Legendary status aside, one could say that it’s long overdue for an upgrade.

Polar Playground is a Southern California-based dessert shop that’s leveling up the quintessential sweet. There, in place of the traditional abstract cloud-shape, cotton candy is treated like an art form and spun into colorful and creative characters. From rainbow-haired unicorns and koalas in baseball caps to pop culture staples like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this is cotton candy unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

Along with the creative and eye-popping cotton candy, there is ice cream and cereal-topped milkshakes. Serious sweets lovers can even wrap ice cream bars with cotton candy.

Stop by Polar Playground for a kid-friendly sugar high that’s made for the ‘Gram.
