The Protein Craze Has Officially Reached Tinned Fish

David, the surging protein bar brand, is bulking up its offerings with a new fishy addition.

Wild Caught Atlantic Cod is David’s newest drop to fuel the protein craze—and it’s packing 18g of protein, 70 calories, and 0g sugar.

While this might seem a little wild—all pun intended—this stunt is very on brand. In fact, David announced its venture last year to begin selling frozen cod fish. Now, they’re just taking their protein obsession into seafood territory in the most Gen Z-coded way possible.

The launch also arrives as tinned seafood has gained more popularity among consumers for its affordability and nutritional value.

So while the brand is dropping more protein-packed options with fewer calories, it’s uniquely fueling the never-ending protein craze and responding to the growing demand for tinned seafood.

Are we ready for canned fish summer 2026?
