Sweetgreen is finally entering its wrap era, pairing hefty, flavor-loaded fillings with a custom olive oil tortilla that deserves just as much attention.

After testing wraps in Los Angeles, New York, and parts of the Midwest earlier this year, Sweetgreen is now taking the format nationwide. While the fillings bring the usual Sweetgreen energy—antibiotic-free roasted chicken, house-made sauces, white cheddar, crispy onions, avocado—the tortilla immediately separates these from the usual fast-casual wrap situation.

Sweetgreen developed the extra virgin olive oil tortilla from scratch to avoid seed oils and preservatives while still keeping that soft, stretchy, almost translucent bite that makes a wrap actually satisfying to eat. It feels lighter than your standard tortilla, but still rich enough to hold everything together without falling apart halfway through lunch.

That attention to detail carries through the rest of the lineup. Most of the wraps pack more than 40 grams of protein, but they don’t eat like gym food. The Chicken Jalapeño Ranch taps into burrito territory with charred jalapeño ranch, white cheddar, and pickled onions. The Cali Chicken Club stacks avocado, bacon, tomato, and garlic aioli into something closer to a deli wrap. Then there’s the KBBQ Chicken, loaded with apple kimchi sauce, crispy onions, and KBBQ drizzle.

More importantly, these genuinely feel built around flavor first. Sauce, texture, crunch, richness—all the things that usually get sacrificed once chains start talking about “feel-good” eating.

The pricing helps too. Every wrap lands under $15, with most sitting around the $12.50 range, making them feel a lot more realistic for an everyday lunch run than some of Sweetgreen’s heavier bowl builds.

And the momentum is already obvious. Fans spent months asking Sweetgreen to finally drop wraps, and once the test markets hit, the rollout generated millions of impressions across TikTok before the wraps even reached stores nationwide.
