SHUT UP AND TAKE MY YEN: Bacon Doritos Are Real Life

You know the saying, the one that goes, “All good things come from Japan.” At least, everything delicious and magical, like these Pepsi-flavored Cheetos and this Wendy’s prosciutto burger. It’s enough to make you pout and click your ruby heels, hoping they’ll bring you to the motherland of bizarre and wonderful snack foods.

Until then, you can add these Bacon Doritos to the list of things Japan needs to bring stateside. Apparently, the concept of Bacon-flavored Doritos have been around since 2009, with peppered bacon being the debut variety. The original shape came in the form of both wavy and twisted Doritos, lending for an especially crunchy bite packed with peppery pork.

The latest spotting comes from Reddit, making it known that a “Gourmet Smoke Bacon” Doritos flavor does indeed exist.

I know, le gasp! We’re seething with jealousy right now and we won’t rest ’til we get our paws on this bacon hybrid. Theoretically, you can buy the Pepper Bacon Doritos here, but they’re currently unavailable. Of course. Oh, Japan. Why you tease us so?
