Peet’s Coffee Introduces Turmeric Lattes In New ‘Golden Beverage’ Line

Health enthusiasts will have quite a few things to keep an eye out for in the new year, especially those who really need that daily dose of caffeine to wake them up.

Peet’s Coffee announced three new flavors they say is as good as gold to kick off the new year: the Golden Caffe Latte, the Golden Chai Latte, and the Golden Cappuccino.

The special ingredient found in this new line of hot beverages is turmeric, a spice known for its numerous health benefits. This includes lowering the risk of heart disease, anti-inflammatory properties, and lowering the antioxidant capacity in the human body.

To compliment the turmeric, the beverages are also infused with honey and ginger.

Sounds like a pretty healthy and delicious start to the day. Wonder if other coffee chains will respond with their own versions of turmeric drinks? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Until then, Peet’s patrons can find the three new Golden beverages at participating locations now through the end of April.
