When you think about a sandwich stuffed with macaroni and cheese, the first word to probably come to your mind is "America." Our country is known for popularizing the obscene and delicious creation, but when the fast food game decided to join the party, they took the talents of their mac & cheese sandwiches elsewhere.

Instead of dropping the sandwich here in the U.S., McDonald's decided to launch their new Bacon Macaroni & Cheese sandwich in Hong Kong as one of two new "Toasties" in their lineup. It's a simple but gluttonous meal, with a two-cheese mac & cheese and bacon crammed in between two slices of toasted bread.

The other new Toastie, in case you were wondering, is a riff off of the ever-popular Korean corn cheese side dish. Named the Corn & Cheese Champignon Toastie, it's basically just corn, cheese, and champignon mushrooms inside of a grilled cheese sandwich.

While the corn cheese sandwich is definitely more catered to Asian consumers, that mac & cheese masterpiece screams "USA" as loud as a screeching bald eagle. If there was one sandwich you should definitely bring to the United States from overseas, McDonald's, this would be it. We're too obsessed with putting mac & cheese in our sandwiches to not fall in love with this instantly.
