Key Lime Doughnuts Are Dropping At Krispy Kreme To Kick Off Summer

The new summer flavor of 2019 appears to be Key lime pie. We’ve already seen Chick-fil-A come out with a Key Lime Freeze based on the popular Florida dessert. Krispy Kreme is now adding their own take on the treat to their doughnut lineup.

This new Key Lime Doughnut is made with a Key lime creme filling that adds a tart, acidic flavor to balance with the sweet doughnut. Krispy Kreme is launching it as part of their Fruit-Inspired Collection, a summer fruit doughnut lineup that’ll be on menus from May 6 through June 16. Other flavors on the menu include Strawberry and Pineapple.

To hype up the launch of Key Lime and the other summer flavors, Krispy Kreme is also bringing back their Lemon Glazed Doughnut from April 22nd through 28th. It’s a tasty way to start the season of citrus and get us amped up for when that Key Lime doughnut finally drops.
