Craving: Durian

durian02

Along with my strange and tropical fruits, I’m going to add in the durian. Known to the world’s stinkiest fruit, growing up Vietnamese, I also find it one of my favorites. It’s for a tough, spikey outer shell and a very fleshy, stinky inside. Sometimes when I come home, I can smell the kitchen and notice a slight odor and then I figure out that my mom’s been cutting one of these open. I’ll usually open the fridge to find a huge Tupperware full of these things and eat them away before I realize that I smell disgusting. Oh the things you do for food.
