Chicken and Waffle Tacos Exist At This Los Angeles Restaurant

Fancy yourself as a breakfast connoisseur, eh? Think you’ve had every breakfast iteration under the sun, do ya? Think again. That’s because Baldoria in Downtown Los Angeles serves up chicken and waffle tacos. You read that right, tacos.

‘What sorcery’, you ask? Well, the Little Tokyo-based bar & kitchen wields their magic through a perfectly crisp spicy fried chicken, apple-cinna waffles, and a healthy drizzle of WhistlePig barrel-aged maple syrup. However, the pièce de résistance of this dish is the bold maneuver of folding the waffles around the fried chicken to form the taco. It’s such simple ingenuity, really. The type that entices droves to partake in Baldoria’s robust brunch menu that features the chicken and waffle tacos.

But beyond solid brunch offerings, Baldoria is also slanging craft cocktails, unique pizzas (the Mrs. Croque thoooo), and legit bar bites like their duck confit wings, which I must confess, was one of my favorite bites of the year.

So if you’re looking to conquer your breakfast bucket list, look to Baldoria next and prepare to cross the chicken and waffle tacos off of it with an air of satisfaction that only an outstanding meal can provide.
