Chick-Fil-A Sends Boat To Rescue Elderly Couple Trapped By Hurricane Harvey

Chick-Fil-A is famous for having exceptional customer service. During Hurricane Harvey, one of their locations showed us exactly why that is the case.

Houston locals Karen and J.C. Spencer called the restaurant for help Monday, after their home began to fill with water. J.C. told Good Morning America that he specifically requested “two grilled chicken burritos with extra egg, and a boat.”

The Chick-Fil-A manager apparently knew the elderly couple, and immediately asked her husband to jump on their boat and help them.

While it was an amazing gesture from the Chick-Fil-A manager, it ended up being unnecessary. Shortly after the call, a pair of unknown jet ski riders showed up and carted the couple off to safety. While the Spencers still don’t know the identity of their rescuers, they are extremely grateful.

Still, it was likely reassuring to know that Chick-Fil-A had their backs regardless. Needed or not, the Chick-Fil-A manager’s actions were above and beyond the job description, and she deserves a commendation for her good deed.
