OREO’s latest cookie collab was made especially for K-Pop fans. The company has linked with RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook of BTS to drop a limited-edition hotteok-inspired flavor.

Hotteok, a brown sugar-stuffed pancake, is a staple at street food markets in South Korea. The snack, along with OREOS, were both popular go-tos for the members of BTS during childhood, so when the opportunity arose to collaborate with OREO, pulling the past into the present made perfect sense.

“For OREO to be the first snacking brand we’ve collaborated with globally is a huge honor. We ate them as kids, we eat them in the studio, and now OREO is helping us share a taste of home with the world,” said BTS. “We’re just so proud to add our own chapter to OREO’s amazing story.”

Along with their unique flavor, the limited edition cookies are purple and feature 13 embossments designed by BTS for their fans, including band member names and three cookies that together form a special message from the group. The embossments vary from package to package.

The special message was inspired by the group’s letter-writing tradition and on June 8, the release of the cookies will coincide with a chance to win exclusive prizes. To partake in the contest, simply scan the QR code on the package, or by visiting us.OREOBTS.com. The site lets you write a digital letter to BTS, which can be submitted for a chance to win prizes.

The limited edition BTS OREOS will be available for pre-sale starting June 1 at https://www.oreo.com/presale, followed by a nationwide rollout on June 8.
