Asian-Inspired Sanzo Sparkling Water Announces New ‘Pomelo’ Flavor

Continuing their mission to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western culture, Sanzo has announced the release of their sixth fruit-forward flavor: Pomelo. The latest offering of refreshment joins their current lineup of Lychee, Calamansi, Yuzu, Mango, and Asian Pear flavors. 

For those who’ve never tasted this Southeast Asian native, it’s similar to grapefruit, yet sweeter, with a milder tartness. In fact, grapefruit is actually a descendent, and hybrid mixture of a pomelo and an orange. Like all of Sanzo’s sparkling water flavors, Pomelo is made with real fruit and no artificial flavors, preservatives, or added sugars.

In Southeast Asia, pomelos are typically consumed on Lunar New Year and other festive occasions. They’re believed to bring good luck and prosperity to those who eat them. Sanzo sparkling waters not only offer a taste of home to Asian-Americans, but also a taste of Asia to consumers who are less familiar. 

You can experience Sanzo’s new Pomelo flavor exclusively at Whole Foods Markets nationwide beginning March 1.
