A New Butterbeer-Inspired ICEE Flavor Is Coming To Regal Cinemas

Regal Cinemas is selling a new beverage rumored to be inspired by Harry Potter’s famous Butterbeer. The chain is releasing a Butterscotch ICEE flavor on August 20, topped with cold foam and caramel drizzle for a limited time. 

While it isn’t a literal Butterbeer recreation, fans have taken to referring to it as such, due to its release coinciding with the “Back to Hogwarts” event happening from August 20 to September 3. During which all eight Harry Potter films will return to movie theaters.

A wand and candles feature in the promotional photo for it, so the release is clearly a strategic move by the company. Regal Cinemas Butterscotch ICEE may not be an official Butterbeer, but it is a great, and business-wise, way to re-live Harry Potter’s classic adventures.
