7-11 Double Big Gulp Holds 200% the Average Human Stomach’s Capacity

The 7-Eleven Double Big Gulp is not a new product by any means, but apparently a meme is making its way across the web in regards to the sheer amount of liquid that it holds. For those unfamiliar, the Double Big Gulp holds about 64 ounces of liquid, and the fact that the average human stomach holds about 32 ounces of liquid seems to have evaded our attention the first time around.

The math this problem proposes is equivalent to sticking a square peg in a circular hole. The Double Gulp holds 200% the liquid the average stomach holds. What’s fair to consider is that a good amount of the contents of your Double Gulp will consist of ice, but that still leaves you filling more than the capacity of your stomach with one drink. To each his own, just consider this your PSA.
